Recipient of the Pedro Zamora young leaders Scholarship
Throughout his undergraduate studies at Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, Antwan worked to help underserved communities, creating a student-led health organization, Peer HEALTH Educators, to redefine the philosophy of health in communities of color.
Today, Antwan is a board member of the National AIDS Memorial and works as the HIV Navigator at GlideSF, a nonprofit organization that serves vulnerable populations in San Francisco.
Antwan’s overall objectives are to continue his education in public health, law, and medicine to create holistic approaches to meld social determinants and medicine for positive outcomes in marginalizing populations.
